The weather, over the centuries, has always held a close fascination for mankind, who in turn has had a close relationship with the weather. It affects our moods, work and leisure time and has a huge destructive force capable of killing at any moment. We have even tried to control the weather with cloud seeding but the force of nature can not be denied. More often than not we can be transfixed by the sheer beauty and startling contrasts of the weather, from the towering hulk of a thundery cumulonimbus cloud breaking into the troposphere, to the perfect symmetry of a snowflake falling on a frozen pond. The weather has inspired artists, scientists, poets, authors and sportsmen over the years and continues to have an effect on our everyday lives, from the clothes we wear to where we go on holiday! With global warming now a fact (even if the causes may be in doubt) the World is witnessing more and more catastrophic storms, floods, droughts and even snowfall wreaking havoc on an ever growing population. With an increase in technology it is becoming easier for scientists to record and chart climate change.

Records of the climate have been kept for centuries and it is now possible, in fact it is easy, for you to record your own weather extremes from your home with a large range and choice of affordable Weather Instruments. Instruments are now practical and cheap and enable us all to record the Weather from the comfort of our homes. Weather Instruments, such as a Temperature gauge, severe Weather alert, Barometer (measuring atmospheric pressure),  Anemometer (measuring wind speed) or a Pluviometer (measuring rainfall) are all now readily available for the enthusiastic amateur meteorologist.
